America’s Fund

The Semper Fi Fund was created to provide immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to those 9/11 survivors who were wounded or are critically ill, as well as other injured members of all military branches and their families. They also have programs and resources to help transition back to civilian life.

Free Grants For Veterans

We provide comprehensive details on grants for veterans. These free grants could help low-income veterans with bills, mortgages, rent, housing, college, and medications.

Gary Sinise Foundation

At the Gary Sinise Foundation, we serve our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need. National Council On Aging – Veteran Benefits

Open to all veterans, the NCOA VB helps veterans during their retirement by providing unannounced assistance and resources to members.

Navy-Marine Corps Relief

NMCR is a partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps to help financially and educationally, as well as helping with other need-based assistance to active-duty and retired Sailors and Marines and their eligible family members.

Operation Family Fund

OFF is a private non-profit committed to ensuring that all available resources are used to the maximum to assist all eligible members, their caregivers, and the families of military and civilian personnel who have been severely disabled as a part of Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.

Operation Homefront

OHF assists all military families during difficult financial times. They help provide food assistance, vision care, auto repair, home repair, travel and transportation assistance, moving assistance, essential items for the home, and even rent-free transitional housing for all wounded veterans and their families.

Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA)

The PVA fights for veteran equality and is a great resource and social organization.

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation

Too many caregivers are on the brink of homelessness and hunger or struggle to pay bills due to joblessness, underemployment, unexpected care costs, and unpredictable benefits. We’ve teamed with the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation to provide military caregivers emergency relief grants to get them back on track.

Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program (ADAP)

The Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program (ADAP) is a federally funded program that protects the rights of Alabama children and adults with cognitive, mental health, or physical disabilities.

Alabama Vocational Rehabilitation Services

AVRS helps Alabama children and adults with disabilities achieve their potential through programs, assistance, resources, and guidance.

STAR – Alabama Assistive Technology Resource

STAR is Alabama’s Assistive Technology Resource, a program inside the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services. It works to increase disabled Alabamans’ independence and quality of life by providing accessibility tools, technology, and resources.

Southern Disability Foundation

The SDF is an alternative financing program for individuals with disabilities to borrow money to purchase assistive technology, adaptive equipment, or other related services at a low-interest rate or with extended terms.

United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama

UCP helps provide AT equipment to people with disabilities by sending applications to the UCP National Bellows Fund.

Disability Rights in Florida

Florida’s Assistive Technology Program (FAAST)

Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital

CHRH is located in Lexington, KY, and provides post-acute inpatient physical rehabilitation services for all ages.

Frazier Rehabilitation Facility

Frazier Rehab in Louisville, KY, is known for its world-class acute rehabilitation care. Frazier provides extensive inpatient and outpatient therapy options across many specialties and needs. 

Friends of Michael

Our mission is to encourage and support research that will help victims overcome their spinal cord injuries as well as provide grants and activities to improve the quality of life for the individuals having this disability, provide educational spinal cord injury awareness and prevention to others, and award annual scholarships to students who volunteer their time to the organization.

KATS Network

Kentucky Assistive Technology Services works toward making assistive technology information, devices, and services available to everyone regardless of age or disability. KATS does provide grants to those who qualify.

Kentucky Assistive Technology Loan Corporation (KATLC)

KATLC is a program to assist Kentuckians with disabilities in obtaining needed assistive technology devices to improve their independence or quality of life.

Kentucky Cabinet For Health And Family Services

KCHFS helps the families of children with special health care needs and the professionals/caregivers who serve them.

Kentucky Department Of Veteran Affairs

KDVF is here to serve and honor Kentucky veterans and ensure they and their families receive all the benefits they’ve earned.

Kentucky Hart-Supported Living Program

The Kentucky Hart-Supported Living program is a grant available for funding once per year. The deadline to submit a request is April 1st of each year. The fund is set up to assist disabled Kentuckians with product or service assistance that enables them to continue living independently rather than being institutionalized. The grant can purchase a wheelchair van, wheelchair lift, or other mobility aid.

Kentucky Office Of Vocational Rehabilitation

KOVR assists Kentuckians with disabilities in achieving employment and independence by purchasing assistive technology devices.

LOUISIANA

Baton Rouge Rehab Hospital

BRRH is an accredited inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital offering comprehensive neurology-based inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network ( LATAN)

LATAN helps individuals with disabilities and older persons with assistive technology options and services. LATAN aims to establish independence in employment, school, and community living.
